Colin Sherwood, DDS

Dr. Colin Sherwood is a native of Greensboro, NC where he was raised alongside his 7 siblings. From a young age, his exposure to his father’s profession led to an affinity for medicine and surgery in particular. A Tar Heel through and through, he played lacrosse at the collegiate level for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill while obtaining his undergraduate degree in management before pursuing a career in dentistry.  He stayed in Chapel Hill to obtain his dental degree from the UNC Adams School of Dentistry.

He then completed his post-graduate training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC.  Here, he developed a special interest in dental implants, facial trauma, reconstructive, and orthognathic surgery. He enjoys seeing the transformation in patients’ lives that surgery and dental implants can provide.

Colin now resides in Greensboro with his wife, Rachel, and two sons, Becton and Carter. In his free time, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and golden retriever, Brody. He also enjoys playing golf and cheering for the Tar Heels.
